#332 - Keyboard Praise Concert

For the past six years, our little town has put on a concert that I think would rival just about anything.  Six grand pianos, 25+ pianists of all ages, a handbell choir, and a community choir. Participants come from all over our area, and it's an amazing concert, and a great way to kick off the holiday season! (11/28/10)

#331 - Hung By the Chimney with Care ...

Another favorite Christmas decoration (I have several) is my collection of stocking holders ... I found them on sale the day after Christmas one year in Dallas, and I love it because I can put photos of each person in them to identify whose stocking hangs below. :)  (11/27/10)

#330 - Getting Ready for the Candy Cane Countdown

One of the boys made this Christmas Countdown craft one year in children's church, and it's become a favorite decoration and tradition in our house.  Starting on the first day of December, we take a candy cane off the countdown and place it on the tree. (11/26/10)

We celebrated Thanksgiving and kicked off Christmas at my dad's house with the family, including 4 generations of Alexanders. (11/25/10)

#326 - Oakley

If you've been in the College of Communication at The University of Alabama, you've most likely had contact with Mr. Oakley, who was a favorite professor and mentor for both me and my sister ... we couldn't resist a chance to stop by and visit for a few minutes on the way home from Tennessee.  (11/22/10)

#325 - Back-Door Guests are Best!

While we were in Tennessee, my sister and I were blessed to stay with some very special cousins in their beautiful home ... and if you look closely at the door, you can see their precious beagle Buddy! (11/21/10)

#324 - Bama Pride

My sister and I spent the day traveling to Tennessee to visit our grandmother ... with a few stops along the way.  We saw these great plates at The Spotted Pony in Meridian, Mississippi.

#323 - Shoeboxes and Sweet Cows

It's that time of year again ... to pack shoeboxes of toys and goodies to send across the world with Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child.  Each of the boys packed a box for a little boy their own age. It's become a yearly tradition for us.

As we walked back from the church, the boys went to visit the cows.  The cows are usually a bit skittish, but today they came right up to the fence to visit with the boys! :)
