#268 - Another Cub Scout Adventure
Today our local fire department held an open house, so we took advantage of the event for our Cub Scouts to mark off another requirement for their Tiger Cub badges! (09/25/10)
#266 - Signs of Fall
It may be in the mid-90s outside, but you can tell fall is coming to our town when the displays start going up around town ... this is the first one that I've seen this year. (09/23/10)
#265 - The Tree Guys
The tree guys were trimming trees for the power company, and the boys enjoyed watching their progress as they worked behind our house. (09/22/10)
#264 - "Go See It" Becomes "Go Taste It"
Our first Tiger Cub Scout field trip to local restaurant Franklinton's Grill. After a tour of the bakery and kitchen, the cubs got to decorate and eat their own cupcakes! (09/21/10)
#263 - Painted Lady
Several days ago, J spotted this beautiful butterfly in the flowers outside our dining room window. (taken 09/16/10 - posted for 09/20/10)
#262 - Time for Quackers ...
After visiting at Grammie's Saturday, the boys and I took some time out to feed the ducks in the duck pond at an area hospital. (The boys feed them saltine crackers ... and dub them "quackers.) (09/19/10 - taken 09/18/10)
#261 - Cousins
While we were running errands, the boys and I stopped by my mom's house to visit with her, my sister, and my sweet nephew. The three boys couldn't resist the chance to play on Grammie's keyboard! (09/18/10)

#258 - Walk the Line ...
On the road again today for a walk ... we live in the country, and most of our walks are on smaller highways ... so we just follow the white line. :o) A yellow brick road might be more fun, though! (09/15/10)
#257 - Sunshine and Shadows
Getting back into the swing of things with my walking buddy, now healed from her back strain! :) (09/14/10)

#253 - Under the Weather ...
My little munchkin man stayed home today with the stomach bug that big brother caught on Tuesday. You know he's not feeling well when he falls asleep on the couch in the middle of the day - "normal" in this house usually equals perpetual motion. (09/10/10)
#252 - Moving Mario
The boys love playing the Wii video games (they'd probably play all day long if I let them), and their current favorite is Super Mario Galaxy ... the is one of the remotes they use to move the Mario character (M's sweet little hand). (09/09/10)
#250 - If God Had a Billboard
The other day, my friend M and I were talking about rainbows, and she said something about "if God had a billboard ..." As soon as she said it, I said, "that would be a good title for a photo of the day ..." so when I saw this rainbow, I HAD to take the picture JUST so I could use the title! Thanks, M! (Taken 09/06/10, posted for 09/07/10)
#249 - In Case of Emergency ...
I wonder how long this would last at my house ... and I wonder what would qualify as an "emergency" ??????(09/06/10)
#248 - A Privilege of Ministry
One of our children at church was baptized this morning, and her excitement and enthusiasm and joy about being baptized was touching. Tony offered to do the baptism in a few weeks, when another one of our children would be baptized, and sweet S. said no ... she wanted to be baptized as soon as she could! I took this photo before the service as Tony was explaining to S what would actually happen during the baptism. (09/05/10)
#247 - College Football Has Begun
On Saturdays in the fall, you'll find my dear, sweet, somewhat college-football obsessed husband just like this - Bama shirt on, television remote in one hand for switching from game to game to game, and the phone in the other (for talking to his brother and analyzing/replaying the game or games). :) (09/04/10)

#246 - Ready to Crop!
I am a Creative Memories Consultant, and one of my favorite things is hosting workshops ... and today I've got a "crop around the clock" workshop - from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.! Woo-hoo!! And I've got plenty of stuff ... some is inventory for sale, but a lot of it is my own supplies, plus snacks and such for the workshop. (09/03/10)

#245 - Not an Uncommon Sight ...
... at least where we live. There's a cow pasture behind our house, and frequently the inmates escape the barbed-wire confines of their field. This particular photo was taken about a week ago, but is representative of what we could see - and have seen - out our front window! (Today, my walking buddy and I actually saw two "escapees" in the yard across the street as we were coming back from our walk!) (taken 8/23/10, posted for 9/2/10)
#244 - New Tools for Scrapbooking
I'm not giving up traditional paper-and-photo print scrapbooking, but incorporating digital StoryBooks into my repertoire ... I've already done several digital StoryBooks, and am tackling our 2009 photos to see if I can get them done during a sale that Creative Memories is having on their StoryBooks! (09/01/10)
#243 - A new walking buddy?
I was walking on the treadmill in the church's gym when this little guy shot across the gym and hid underneath one of the metal benches ... he stayed there the whole time I was walking, and was still there after our Bible Study. After school, however, the boys and I went over, and the little squirrel had gone ... I hope Momma Squirrel rescued the scared little critter. (08/31/10)
#242 - My PAI Pals
I am actively involved in an online ministry called PAI (Parenting After Infertility), which is an outgrowth of Hannah's Prayer, and online infertility ministry. I have been involved in these groups for many years, have met many special ladies, both online and in person, and am blessed to have this incredible support system in my life! (08/30/10)
