My oldest son went out to walk the dog, and despite the freezing temperatures, he found this pretty flower and brought it in to his Momma! (1/9/11)

#8 - Happy Birthday, Felix!

My dear friend threw a surprise party for her husband's 60th birthday party - what fun!  I had the please of being the "unofficial official" photographer, and I think this is one of my favorite shots from the evening! (1/8/11)

#7 - Trouble in Paradise ...

And "trouble's" name is Sally ... she chewed up a book I'd borrowed from my mother-in-law while I was gone at a scrapbook workshop.  I will be SOOOOO glad when she finally gets out of the chewing stage.  (The dog that is, not my mother-in-law.)  (1-7-11)

#6 - Mom's Day Out

I took the day off for some shopping, chatting with friends, lunch out with my stepmom, and more shopping ... and found some great after-Christmas deals! (1-6-11)

#5 - Morning Prayer and Pledge

My youngest son was asked to do the morning prayer and pledge of allegiance during today's morning announcements at school.  He was a bit confused because he expected a microphone, and the announcements went out over the telephone intercom.  But he did a good job, and it was really sweet. (1-5-11)

#4 - It's a MINI Cooper

I spent most of the day with a friend today, and she introduced me to "Maggie" ... her 1973 Mini Cooper ... I even got to take a ride in it ... and I DID fit, even though it's a very small vehicle.  (Just for reference, I'm 5'7")

#1 of 2011 - A New Year, a New Calendar

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my "Monster Grid" Calendar ...it's huge, and has nice big blocks so that I have plenty of space to write every one's activities. When I worked, I had a daytimer that I kept my life in ... now that I'm a full-time mom, my calendar is where I kept it all together ... (1/1/11)
