The other day when we stopped by my dad's house, we were waiting for him to get home from work ... and his dog Bear was waiting patiently in the front yard, watching in the direction from which Pop would be coming.

#212 - Protective Mama ...

One of the things I love about living in the country is having a cow pasture behind our house and getting to see all the calves ... this one seemed to be fairly young ... and Mama Cow seemed to be pretty protective ... she didn't take her eyes off me!   (07/31/10)

#210 - Flight of the Butterfly

Not only was this butterfly beautiful, it was one of the biggest butterflies I've seen ... probably a good 5 inches!  And it was cooperative ... I spotted it while walking one of the dogs, and it hung around until I could get inside, leave the dog there, and grab the camera! (07/29/10)
